DR storage bag
Reply Quote

Okay, has anyone bought the nifty little bag to keep our DRs in? I'm seriously tempted, DH has been on the hunt to find some kind of box to keep all my discs and ink cartridges in, but I'm leaning towards the bag. Has anyone given in and gotten it? Looks like it would hold everything I have now, but......what about when I get extras, and where does everyone keep their accessory kit?

Everything fits great in mine including the disc writer keyboard. It holds a bunch of the discs, batteries, and 2 ink cartridges. The accessory kit is too large.

Hi everyone! I have had my design runner for about six months and I don't have the case for it just because I store it in a drawer and when I travel it is with the rest of my stuff.I have a cart that brings my stuff to crops but if you want the bag go for it.I have not gotten it because I don't have alot of discs and I don't just take the design runner only with me .I have a really good cart and I know it is safe when I am wheeling it around.Tip if you have a cart , surround the design runner with other things like idea books and whatever you store the discs in mine are in a small container. It stays in the dock if it is locked into place but if you want the bag go for it! either way I hope it works out for you!

I have the bag and everything can fit in it.  I have all the discs as well and I just double up on them inside the little plastic cases (keep one locked in it's place with the label towards the inside and put the second one in loose with the label facing the other label).  Then I put the cases in their proper places on the front flap and in the back of the case.  There is also a place for an extra set of batteries.  I put my extra colors of cartridges inside ziploc bags (inside their protective cases and with the air all squeezed out of the ziploc bag) and put one on each side in the material loops there.  I just put the keyboard on top of the DR unit.  The accessory pieces can fit in if you want.  Just take the arc base pieces apart, and you can fit in the alignment piece if you bend it gently and slip it in along the top arc of the case.  If you don't want to do that (I only do it if I am taking it some place) then you can just hang that piece up on a nail on your wall and keep everything else in the bag.  That's what I do 99.9% of the time.

I also took the inserts from the discs and ran them through the laminating cartridge of my 510 and stack them up and put them in the bag as well.  I just bend them to fit the top arc of the bag.

I was hesitant at first to buy it, because of cost AND color, but once I had it I was so glad I made the plunge!!  HTH!
